We strive to empower Queensland’s mining workforce by providing specialised support across a broad range of issues. With expertise in the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 (Qld), we ensure our clients understand their rights under this legislation.
Founded by Queensland coal miners, for Queensland coal miners.
01.
We provide comprehensive advocacy and support services specifically tailored to address issues under the Fair Work Act, and the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 (Qld). If a coal mine worker has suffered because they raised a safety issue, or exercised a workplace right, our goal is to ensure that miners are equipped with the knowledge and resources to defend their rights and maintain a safe working environment.
02.
If a coal mine company is making misleading statements to investors or regulatory bodies about safety standards, financial standing, or a wide range of other market-related commitments, and you become aware of this, you may be obliged under law to make a Protected Disclosure to a range of regulatory bodies. Making a disclosure is complex and even more so if you wish to remain anonymous. QCMA will provide access to resources to assist you on the journey.
03.
We are dedicated to ensuring Queensland coal mine workers have adequate representation around the clock. Whether it is an impromptu work meeting with management, in a Fair Work conciliation conference, or in the Supreme Court of Queensland, QCMA will provide access to resources that will protect your rights to representation and ensure your voice is heard loud and clear. Even when it shakes.
04.
At Queensland Coal Miners' Advocate, we are committed to empowering the mining workforce by providing advocacy, education, and support that enhances the health and safety of miners. The resources to which we can provide access range from general education and education material, legal advice and legal representation, litigation funding, counselling and financial assistance programs.
