How does QCMA help Queensland coal mine workers

QCMA has structured a range of advocacy services

Legal Representation

If you are a Queensland coal mine worker, and you think you have a claim under the Fair Work Act, or the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act, you qualify for a 20 minute complimentary consulting call. This call will not provide legal advice. The call will help you learn about what options might be available to you.

After the initial consulting call, and depending on what resources you require, you will have access to a range of resources with a variety of pricing options including pro-bono, low-bono, no-win no-fee, hourly rate and capped-fee.

If that sounds like a lot of different choices - it is. And that's the point. Depending on your case, what the details of the case are, the quality of the evidence, the public impact of the claim and a range of other factors are all considered when certain fee structures are offered.

QCMA can provide access to specialised legal firms and independent lawyers who are dedicated advocates to Queensland coal mining health and safety. Their expertise and commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety under the CMSH Act make them invaluable assets to the QCMA's referred clients.
